Tempted by everlasting glory, creatures from all over find themselves captured in Count Doracula's dungeon. Many will fail and become eternalized in his dead walls, but if you are up to the task and make it through Doracula's demands, you will forever earn your claim to the title of The Dead Wall champion 2025.

Riichi Mahjong
Witnessing agony at the hands of dora is a must for Count Doracula. Therefore, the participants must partake in riichi mahjong heavily modified to suit his own needs

Costume Contest
Only the most suitable souls end up in Doracula's dead walls. There must be a judgement of character and soul

Moupai Contest
Nothing marinates the soul better than the deep running anxiety and stress from a MoupaiMoupai(盲牌) is the practice of rubbing your fingers on the front of a mahjong tile and only using your sense of touch to figure out which tile it is.

Event Details

The Dead Wall 2025 is a halloween themed one-day event focusing on but not limited to mahjong related activities. Anyone is allowed to attend the event.

There is two registration options: playing and non-playing. The only difference is whether you will participate in the riichi games or not. As a playing participant you are expected to have some basic experience with riichi mahjong

Date: October 25th, 2025

Registration: Opens October 1st

Registration fee: Playing fee is 200 SEK/150 CNY. Non-playing fee is 80 SEK/60 CNY. Both includes food, snacks and drinks. The registration fee is non-refundable after October 20th, 2025.

Payment: Payment is done by Swish or Wechat. See here for QR-codes.

Max participants: There is no limit for non-playing attendees. The maximum number of playing participants is 36 players.

Dress code: Halloween attire is mandatory.

Food & Drinks: Food, snacks and drinks are available at your own discretion throughout the event. Alcohol consumption is allowed within moderation, but, alcohol will not be sold at the venue. Bringing your own snacks and drinks is allowed.

Contests: Non-mandatory contests that everyone can join, including non-playing attendees. Each winner will get a prize and 10000 points counted towards the final score of the entire event. Every participant will receive some points. Read more here:

The Dead Wall Champion 2025: The attendee with the largest total sum of points from the riichi games, costume contest and moupai contest will be crowned The Dead Wall Champion 2025.



FAQ

Non-playing attendees do not participate in the riichi mahjong competition games. Besides that, it's the same.

As a non-playing attendee, you can participate in all other activities such as joining the audience, participate in the costume and/or moupai contests and play social riichi mahjong. Food, snacks and drinks are included too.
Registration opens October 1st!
The winners of the costume contest and moupai contest will receive prizes and points counted towards the total event. The overall winner of the event will receive a trophy, Tiger Mahjong coupon and the title of The Dead Wall 2025 champion.
The WRC Rulebook is just one variation of guidelines and rules commonly used for riichi mahjong competitions worldwide.

It is used as the basis for this event's heavily modified ruleset. Using this rulebook simplifies the resolution of any potential disagreements or penalties, even though we will be much more lenient than described in the rulebook when it comes to these kinds of things.
Not really, if you are used to the rules from games like Mahjong Soul or Riichi City you are already 90% there.
